It's been a while, but I'm finally getting back to my normal schedule and what better way to get back on track than with some gorgeous chameleon flakies!

These Chameleon flakies from BornPrettyStore (ID=39759) are absolutely amazing! They come in a little container with an eye shadow applicator and have around 0.2g of flakies inside, which seems like nothing but it's quite a lot because they are light as a feather. (In the video below you can see how much it is)

The flakies come with the following instructions for applying them on gel or regular polish:

How to use with UV Gel Polish:
1.Prepare your nails with UV BASE COAT, Black COLOR GEL, No-wipe UV TOP COAT.
2.Use eye shadow stick to pick the powder and apply it onto your nails
3.Seal it with UV TOP COAT.

Note: for dense effect, you should apply powder before UV TOP COAT.

These flakies work like a charm with gel polish! Whether you're using a fan brush or the eye shadow applicator they stick to the polish without any problems. Because it says to apply it before the top coat for a denser effect I tried both ways, but I don't think it makes a difference. You can create a dense effect by applying them on your cured gel color or on a cured top coat (I used the no-wipe top coat by Madam Glam). They do stick a bit better to the cured gel color which also requires less coats of polish so for gel application that's the way to go in my opinion.

How to use with Nail Polish:
1.Prepare your nails with base coat.
2.Apply black base color polish.
3.Seal it with top coat.
4.Put a thin layer of the glitter on the nail to decorate your nail.
5.Seal it with top coat.

For the normal nail polish I applied my black base and waited around 3-4 minutes. The time might depend on your brand of polish and how quickly it dries. The polish should be dry to the touch, but still a little sticky. Then I gently pressed the flakies on using the eye shadow applicator that came with the flakies.

I also tried to use a fan brush to gently brush them on the polish, but that didn't work that well for the normal polish. There wasn't enough pressure to get them to stick to the polish. Lastly I tried to use my fingers which did work, but I feel like the flakies stuck to my fingers just as much as to my nail.

Then I sealed them in with a fast drying top coat, HK Girl by Glisten & Glow.

I got the flakies in 2 of the 5 available colors. The first color (#1) is a combination of green and copper-red. Here you can see what they look like on different colors. Their coppery-green shine is most prominent on darker colors, especially on the dark green they look amazing! I feel like they look kinda pinkish and washed out against the lighter colors so I'm not the biggest fan of that, but it would be great for a more subtle mani.

Next up is their second shade (#2) a stunning mixture of light green, aquamarine, teal and royal blue colors. I am absolutely in love with how gorgeous these look! Teal and other blue shades are my favorite color so I might be a bit biased but these are really incredible.

Look at how gorgeous these colors are! I couldn't stop looking at the gorgeous color changing effect of these flakies.

I also tried this color on different base polishes to see what the effect would be on top of various colors. As with the previous shade the green-blue shine is most visible on darker colors, but I also love the way this one looks lighter colors!
