Rudolf The Red Nosed Rat Nail Art
Merry Christmas everyone! Santa had so many houses to visit last night which of course wouldn't be possible without his most trusted companion, Rudolf the red nosed rat!
This nail art was inspired by my first pet which was the cutest, most adorable little rat. I actually found him as a baby and my dad raised him. He even took him to work when he was little because he needed to be fed every couple hours. Not everyone was pleased with that obviously 😂, but my dad did an awesome job and the little one survived! For some reason I named him Rudolf, it was so long ago I don't even know why anymore, but I figured he would make a perfect Christmas design with a little red nose and Santa hat.
The base for this mani is one of my first indie nail polishes ever! I ordered a couple polishes from the Star Wars collection by Polish Alcoholic, or pretty much all the ones she still had. I might have bought them mostly because of their names, but they are also gorgeous! They'll be swatched after the holidays, so I wont go into detail here. I used three coats of Anakin because it's a little sheer, but two thick coats would work as well.
The design is hand-painted using Jo Sonja's and Amsterdam acrylic paint, and the "Tartofraises roubloff detail 00" brush by Adnails Manucure.
And here is the actual little guy! It was hard to find a good picture because this was before everyone was walking around with smartphones, we didn't even have an actual camera but my dad borrowed one sometimes. Look at how cute he is though! How can anyone resists such an adorable little face!
