Holographic Christmas Nail Art WITHOUT Nail Art Tools

Less than one month until Christmas! We all know what that means... time for some Holodays nail art!! This design was made without using any nail art tools. No vinyls, no stamping, and no detailed freehand!

Both of these gorgeous polishes are from H&M. The holographic one is called "Space Race" and on the nail in the picture above I applied three coats to cover up my nail ridge, but on my other hand two coats was enough to get full coverage. Even though it's a opaque polish, it's also very thin, which is why I needed two coats on my one nail.

The sparkly blue polish is "Nocturne" and is thicker than the other one. I applied two coats on all my nails, but one coat is almost enough for full coverage! Both of these polishes apply very easily because of their wide brush which I absolutely love. Application is such a treat with these two beauties.

For the snowflakes I made my own little decals/vinyls/stickers using a snowflake hole puncher from Action and a plastic sheet protector. I got this technique from the amazing Rebecca from @baby_mama_nails who used it a couple days ago. First apply one coat of clear polish, I used "Gel Look" top coat by Hema, on the sheet protector. When this is dry apply two coats of "Space Race" by H&M with around 5 min drying time in between. Wait until the polish is completely dry before peeling it off the sheet protector. I tried without the clear polish first, but the holo polish didn't want to peel off well on it's own. I think the reason is because it's a very thin polish which makes it tear more easily.

Use a rosewood stick, or tweezers, to gently peel the polish off. Then cut out the little snowflakes with the hole puncher like you would with a piece of paper. In case the snowflakes curl up, place them under heavy book or other flat object for a little while. If you have to many snowflakes you can store them in a container and use them next time!!

I am absolutely in love with this method!!! It's incredibly easy to do, you do can do it in little steps whenever you have a moment of free time, and so much cheaper than vinyls since you only need to buy a hole puncher once! (I just bought all the Christmas designs they had in store since they where only 1 euro/3 puncher, so you'll be seeing these again in the future 😊)

For the Christmas tree I used scotch tape to create the triangle and a toothpick to dot the little ball Christmas ornaments. You can of course use liquid latex or striping tape instead of the scotch tape and dotting tools for the toothpick, but I really wanted to stay with the no nail art tools them for this one.
