Today's NAFW2016 challenge is to create a design inspired by your fashion trend. I don't think I have a particular trend that's my favorite, but I've been wanting to do some color blocking nails for a while so this was the perfect opportunity. *tutorial included*
All I used for this mani were three different nail polish colors by Kiko Milano. The gorgeous blue base color is 831 "Cobalt Blue" from the quick dry collection. The bright yellow is 279 "Yellow" (what an original name!) from the normal nail lacquer collection and the pink is 805 "Cherry Pink" from the quick dry collection.
The design is made using the normal brushes from the nail polishes. It's the perfect thickness for these shapes, but you do have to make sure that there's not too much on the brush. I found it easier to do three thin layers instead of one thick coat.
I was pleasantly surprised with the result. Although I'm not the biggest fan of color blocking in clothes I love it on my nails. I just can't stop looking at the pretty, bright colors. :D
