Negative Space Nail Art

I've seen this "Negative Space" trend around a lot lately, but I've never given it a go myself. I have no clue why I didn't try it before because I absolutely love it. This has to be my favorite nail trend ever! *tutorial included*

I combined the Negative space with the dry brush technique because I've always thought dry brushing creates a gorgeous look.

Dry brushing is where you remove as much polish as you can from your nail polish brush. I try to get as much of as I can by wiping my brush on the bottle neck. After that I wipe it on a piece of paper, or a paper towel, 2-3 times so there is barely any polish left on the brush.

Then I gently go over my nails with the brush in all different directions. When there is nothing left on the brush, I take another color and repeat the process.

For this base coat I used 4 colors namely: "Raindrop", "Mint Macaroon" and "Spring Tulip" by New York Color, and "You're Such a Budapest" by OPI.

The negative Space is done by dipping a thin brush in nail polish remover. Using that brush you just "paint" where you want to remove the polish.

After I removed everything I wanted I used white Jo Sonja's acrylic paint and  the "Edinburgh Realism 3" brush by Stylishnailartshop to draw the white lines.
