It's almost time to watch the beautiful cherry blossoms in Japan! Or if you go to Kawazu on the Izu Peninsula then you can enjoy them already in the 河津桜祭り(Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival). *tutorial included*
I was inspired to do this mani after I saw a gorgeous cherry blossom nail art by the talented @sweetberrynails.
The base is two coats of "Raindrop" by New York Color, but is not really visible anymore. I sponged the base with two colors from the velvet satin collection by Kiko, 693 "Cadet Blue" and 694 "Honeydew Melon".
Here is a close-up for the girl. I'm pretty proud of this one! It's definitely the best portrait I've done so far. I guess practice does help :)
The design is hand-painted using acrylic paint and the "Edinburgh Realism 3" brush by Stylishnailartshop. The gold is Liquitex paints and for the other colors I used Jo Sonja's and Amsterdam acrylic paints.
