I'm going back to my favorite nail art inspiration, fashion! This mani was inspired by a dress from the 2016 spring couture by Zuhair Murad. This collection is full of gorgeous dresses with lavish ivy and floral embroidery. *tutorial included*
The detail on these dresses is absolutely mind blowing, each petal is sewn on individually, so one can only imagine the time that goes into making one of these. It is worth it though, the result is amazing. I'll definitely be using more of his dresses for inspiration in the future.
Now on to the good part! The base color is two coats of "Uptown Fashionista" by New York Color. It's a nude color, but surprisingly not as sheer as most. You can get full coverage with two coats, while most nudes I've tried require at least 3.
The design is hand-painted using acrylic paint and the "Edinburgh Realism" brush by Stylishnailartshop. I used "Edinburgh Realism 4" for the straight lines and "Edinburgh Realism 3" for the flowers. The gold and silver are Liquitex paints and for the other colors I used Jo Sonja's acrylic paints.
